Nana Kyei Pimeku Dompim – Denkyira Hunu Amanehene
Nana Kojo Tibo I created the Hunu Amane Stool for Nana Kwame Nsonwa in the 1820s. Nana Kwame Nsonwa became Nana Kyei Pimeku who fought galantly alongside Nana Kojo Tibo in Adinkra War, Adamanso War, etc. The Hunu Amane title belongs to the Gyaase Division of the Traditional Setup.
The Hunu Amanehene is the chief who endures the pains of Denkyirahene. He first eats a morsel of Denkyirahene’s meal to check if the food is not poisoned before Denkyirahene eats. In the modern day, should there be an legal case against Denkyirahene, it is the Hunu Amanehene who will take his position in jail or prison.
He is working with Denkyira Heritage Foundation as a patron to ensure the interests of the Denkyira Kingdom and the Foundation are protected.
