Denkyira Heritage Foundation Appointed to Committees for Upcoming Enstoolment of New King
Jukwa, Central Region – June 22, 2025
In a historic move aimed at ensuring a smooth and culturally significant enstoolment of the next King of Denkyira, the Denkyira Heritage Foundation (DHF) has been appointed to two key committees during a high-level traditional council meeting held in Jukwa on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
The meeting, convened by the Gyaase Division of Denkyira Kingdom, brought together prominent traditional leaders and distinguished guests to deliberate on preparations for the enthronement of the new Denkyirahene. The meeting was chaired by Barima Siaw Panin III, Denkyira Gyaasehene.
In attendance were several notable chiefs, including:
- Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III – Denkyirahemaa
- Nana Yamoah – Domakwahene
- Denkyira Abrafohene
- Pomatiahene
- Guabrahene
- Denkyira Sanaahene
- Denkyira Abakomahene
- Faamayohene
- Dabehene
Special guests also included Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, former Minister for Transport; Dr. Kwabena Antwi-Konadu, Manager of the University of Cape Coast’s College of Distance Education (CBS); and Nana Boadu Ntiamoah, representative of the Denkyira Heritage Foundation.
Recognizing the Foundation’s dedication to cultural preservation and promotion, Nananom officially named the Denkyira Heritage Foundation as a member of the following committees:
- Media & Publicity Committee
- Diaspora Invitation Committee
These appointments align with the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to amplify Denkyira’s cultural heritage locally and within the global diaspora.
A spokesperson for the Foundation expressed gratitude for the recognition and called on all members and stakeholders to rally behind this significant national and traditional cause.
“We entreat all members of the Denkyira Heritage Foundation to come together and support this sacred process. Together, we will uplift the image of Denkyira as we prepare to welcome a new King,” the spokesperson said.
