DENKYIRA HERITAGE FOUNDATION EMBARKS ON DIPLOMATIC VISITS TO KEY LEADERS

Today, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Denkyira Heritage Foundation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Anthony K Sarpong, the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), at his office in Accra. The visit was to congratulate him on his appointment and discuss potential collaboration opportunities. The Denkyira Heritage Foundation, a non-political, non-religious youth-led NGO, aims to revive Denkyira legacies. The executive members who visited Mr. Sarpong included Nana Boadu Ntiamoah, Executive Director; Nana Owusu Bore, Patron; Mr. Samuel Opoku, Programs Manager; Nana Ntow Wirenkyi II, Denkyira Kyekyewere Twafohene and esteemed member of the foundation; and other esteemed members.
During the visit, the Foundation presented a citation of honour to Mr. Sarpong, acknowledging his inspirational background and achievements. The citation highlighted his appointment as a unifying force for the people of Denkyira and expressed confidence in his ability to leave a lasting impact on Ghana and Denkyira Kingdom. Mr. Sarpong expressed his profound gratitude to the Denkyira Heritage Foundation for the visit and promised his support to work and live up to expectations from his office for the good of Ghana.
The Denkyira Heritage Foundation also paid a courtesy visit to Honourable Lawrence Agyinsam, Member of Parliament for the Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, was a resounding success. The meeting was a pivotal moment for the Foundation, as they discussed ways to revive and unite the Denkyira Kingdom. Key areas of focus included documenting Denkyira’s history for future generations and bringing developmental projects to the kingdom.

Honourable Agyinsam, Former CEO of the Ghana Export-Import Bank and admitted Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (Ghana), assured the Foundation of his support. The Foundation presented a heartfelt citation to Honourable Agyinsam, acknowledging his victory and recognizing him as a true descendant of Nana Kojo Tibo, the warrior king who secured Denkyira’s independence.
The citation pleaded with Honourable Agyinsam to unite the MPs and MMDCES across the Denkyira Kingdom, championing collective development transcending partisan and religious divides. Honourable Agyinsam was visibly moved by the gesture, expressing his appreciation and love for the Foundation’s efforts.
The Denkyira Heritage Foundation will continue its mission of visiting and uniting people of Denkyira ancestry. Meeting will be scheduled with the MPs for Upper Denkyira East and West Constituencies, Hon. Lawyer Emelia Ankomah and Hon. Rudolf Gyampah respectively.
This move is part of the Foundation’s broader initiative to strengthen unity and love among the Denkyira people, with the ultimate goal of driving development in the kingdom. By fostering relationships with key leaders, the Foundation aims to promote collective growth and progress beyond religious and partisan divides.
